The first glass-bottomed suspension bridge in Vietnam is scheduled to open on 6th November. This bridge is located in the tourism complex Cloudy Dragon Bridge Resort, located at the Gate of Heaven at the top of the beautiful O Quy Ho Pass 2,200m above sea level, 16 km from Sa Pa town and 7km from Phan Pan cable car to Lai Châu. Cloudy Dragon Glass Bridge has a system of transparent glass elevators 300m high first appeared in Vietnam. The elevator room can accommodate 30 guests/time so visitors can enjoy watching Sapa at their feet. Moreover, when visitors step out of the elevator, they will see a transparent glass bridge reaching out from a 50m cliff, a 1km long glass bridge system attached to the rocky cliff at an altitude of 1000m above the height of the ravine. Cloudy Dragon glass bridge is made entirely of transparent glass, the glass floor is assembled by 3 layers of 2cm thick glass, the total thickness of the glass is 7cm. These glass layers are glued together with a special adhesive. The bridge has a width of about 5m with a length of 50m from the elevator to the sandstone cliffs of the Hoang Lien Range. The bridge can withstand the weight of more than 3,000 people at a time.
