The Vietnamese Government has introduced Resolution No. 11 as part of its 2025 tourism stimulus program, granting visa exemptions to citizens of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland.
From March 1st to December 31st, 2025, citizens of these three countries will be allowed a 45-day visa exemption for tourism purposes, provided they are part of organized tours by international travel agencies in Vietnam. This exemption is available for all passport types, as long as travelers meet the country's other entry requirements.
This policy follows Resolution 128/NQ-CP, which had already granted a 45-day visa exemption for citizens of 13 other countries, including South Korea, Japan, Russia, several European nations, and Belarus. This exemption applied regardless of passport type or travel purpose.
According to the General Statistics Office, Vietnam saw 17.6 million international visitors in 2024, marking a nearly 40% increase from 2023 and almost reaching the pre-pandemic numbers from 2019. South Korea continues to be the largest source of tourists, followed by China, Taiwan, and the United States.
