This is a sacred tower in the central province of Ha Tinh, where Le Am, a mandarin of the Le dynasty, is worshipped.

According to historical books, Cam Due ancient stone tower, also known as Am Thap, was built in the sixteenth century in Quang Trung village, Cam Due commune, Cam Xuyen district.

The land plot of more than 2,000 square meters in Cam Due commune was chosen by mandarin Le Am.

To reward Le Am’s merits to the country, King Le Loi allowed him to choose a piece of land as Le Am’s final resting place when Le Am was still alive. The mandarin chose a piece of land covering over 2,000sq.m near the Ngan Mo River - where he was born (now in Quang Trung village, Cam Due commune).

On this plot of land, the mandarin built his tomb when he was still alive, which still exists today. This site is a national architectural and artistic relic.

This 500-year-old relic site welcomes tens of thousands of visitors each year.
